How to change the network settings on a user supplied Hy-tek laptop?

Note: The following may require consultation with your organization's IT Department and/or administrative rights on the laptop.

Setting IP Address

1. Type control in the search window and select the Control Panel app from the best match

2. Change the View by to Category, and then click on View network status and tasks under the Network and Internet section.

3. Navigate to the View your active networks tab and click on your Internet connection next to it.

4.In the pop-up window, click on Properties and then select the Internet Protocol Version 4

5. Click on the Properties button.

6. In the Properties window, elect the Use the following IP address

7. Then enter the IP address and subnet mask manually. You do not need to enter a default gateway.

The IP address needs to be close to the address on the Omnisport. The Subnet mask needs to be set to be the same as on the Omnisport.

For example: If the Omnisport is set to 192.168.0.55 you could set the laptop to be 192.168.0.58
